J. Irvin Deffibaugh Sr.
After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1926, Irvin returned to his hometown of Osterburg, PA to open the only local clinic.
His beliefs were that the chiropractic science teaches that energy is generated in the brain and travels to all parts of the body through the nervous system.

John Jr. observed his father and saw the results that chiropractic brought to people. Graduating from Palmer College in 1955, he returned to Osterburg to work with his father.
He took over and ran his father's business along with his wife Ethel. John was successful in building his practice and recruited his son.
John I. Deffibaugh III
John III knew chiropractic was in his blood and graduated from Palmer College in June 1986. He began practicing with his dad the very next month.
In 2002, he built a new clinic directly behind the old office to accommodate patients with handicapped access, a larger waiting room and increased parking.
